3M Bair Hugger™ 505 Temperature Management Unit
Features:
- Intended to prevent and treat hypothermia
- In addition, the temperature management system can be used to provide patient thermal comfort
- The Bair Hugger™ warming unit is attached to the blanket or gown by means of a flexible hose
- Warm air is generated in the unit and flows through the hose and into the blankets or gown
- Depedning on the model, the blanket or gown is placed either around, over, or underneath the patient
- Small perforations on the blanket or gown allow the warm air to be dispersed over the patient
- Can be used with adult or pediatric patients
- Can be mounted on an IV pole with clamp, bed rail with safety straps, or placed on a hard surface
