Description:
Passive Infared (PIR) Cordless Bedside Local AlarmREMOTE ALARM SOUNDS ANYWHERE UP TO 100' AWAYThis system is ideal for facilities that are not "hardwired" with a nurse call station but still want remote notification of patients exiting their beds. It consists of the PIR Wireless Remote Alarm and a Remote Receiver/Alarm that can be mounted outside the patient's room. The bedside alarm can be set to either sound or remain silent. With either setting, the PIR Remote Alarm sounds when the beam is broken, transmitting a signal to the Remote Receiver/Alarm, which sounds and flashes simultaneously, making it easy to identify the patient in need. The Remote Receiver/Alarm can receive a signal up to 100' away from the PIR Alarm. System has reset button and high/low volume control, and comes complete with all mounting material and batteries. What is the QualCare™ PIR Alarm System? For years, people have relied on infared motion-detection systems for home-use applications such as garage door openers and outdoor lighting. Our partner, AliMed® has modified this time-tested technology for this highly effective patient detection system. Unlike garage door openers and other common motion-detection systems that send out far-reaching infared beams, the QualCare™ PIR Wireless Alarm projects a small, fan-shaped infared field that spans the length of a patient's bedside. Caregivers can therefore avoid activating the alarm, but if any part of the patient's body enters this motion-detection field, the alarm sounds and staff is alerted to unwanted patient movement.Magnetic Bed Rail Clamp mounts to the metal bed rail with a string magnet -- allowing the patient to move freely within the bed. Magnetic clamp releases to help prevent bruised shins if caregivers bump into alarm. Mount PIR Alarms on wall above bed, attach to the head of bed, or above a door. Alerts staff at the earliest sign of patient rising. Wall hardware included. Comes standard with all PIR Alarms.
