Description:
Passive Infared (PIR) Cordless Bedside Local AlarmALARM SOUNDS IN ROOM AND AT NURSES' STATIONIf your facility is "hardwired" to a nurse call station, then this may be the best PIR alarm for you. The Nurse Call Receiver plugs into the nurse call outlet on the wall. When a patient exits the bed, the PIR Remote Alarm sounds in the patient's room and sends a signal to the nurse call station. System has reset button and high/low volume control. What is the QualCare™ PIR Alarm System? For years, people have relied on infared motion-detection systems for home-use applications such as garage door openers and outdoor lighting. Our partner, AliMed® has modified this time-tested technology for this highly effective patient detection system. Unlike garage door openers and other common motion-detection systems that send out far-reaching infared beams, the QualCare™ PIR Wireless Alarm projects a small, fan-shaped infared field that spans the length of a patient's bedside. Caregivers can therefore avoid activating the alarm, but if any part of the patient's body enters this motion-detection field, the alarm sounds and staff is alerted to unwanted patient movement.Magnetic Bed Rail Clamp mounts to the metal bed rail with a string magnet -- allowing the patient to move freely within the bed. Magnetic clamp releases to help prevent bruised shins if caregivers bump into alarm. Mount PIR Alarms on wall above bed, attach to the head of bed, or above a door. Alerts staff at the earliest sign of patient rising. Wall hardware included. Comes standard with all PIR Alarms.
